NEI provided Project Management and MEP Engineering services to make improvement to the Comp & Pen Agent Cashier area of the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. Wayfinding and a warm, inviting, comfortable atmosphere were incorporated into the design of this 10,090 SF space. The project included offices, cashier areas, exam rooms and supporting space.
Plumbing Upgrade Wilkes-Barre VAMC
NEI and its team of subcontractors provided Project Management, MEP Engineering, Architecture and Structural Engineering services to coordinate plumbing systems throughout the entire Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. This included all necessary piping on 13 floors through existing ceiling space and architectural chases. In addition, this project included coordination with 15 other projects occurring simultaneously on the medical campus.
Auditorium RenovationBath VAMC
NEI and its team of subcontractors provided Project Management, Architecture, MEP Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering services for a project to renovate a 360 seat auditorium at the Bath VA Medical Center. Design included new stage lighting, controls, and rigging. House lighting was redone to accommodate instructional sessions. Acoustical design included review of existing materials and selection of new finishes and treatments. A new sound system was included in the renovation.
Rehabilitate Readiness CenterNational Guard: Carbondale, PA
The project consisted of design and construction administration services for the renovation of the Carbondale National Guard Readiness Center building and site. Architectural improvements, electrical upgrades and a complete renovation of the HVAC system were designed.
Parking Lot ExpansionCanandaigua VA Medical Center
Engineering and design to enlarge the existing Lot 7, currently at 104,000 sf, to the maximum extent possible.
Included are storm water drainage design for parking lots, regrading, engineered fill, and detention structures as required. Necessary storm water direction, containment, gutter and curb addition as necessary for compliance with mandated regulatory agencies for VA Medical Centers included.
NEI also provided hydrology analysis of existing and new storm water capacity, connection and discharge locations and additional underground storm water control measures as necessary. Project also required landscaping and engineered erosion mitigation design and relocation of utilities and features such as entry and exit curbing and the water main PIV for optimal design.
